After 4 days being off school, on Tuesday my class visited the AM (Auckland Museum). We also visited the winter garden which was nearby, it was really fun!
Somethings I learnt was that the Whare Nui was shaped as a person. I learnt body parts of the Whare Nui, In Maori. To memorise the body parts we played a game of Simon says. The lady said the name of the body part and we had to show it in actions.
I had 2 favourite bits of the trip. One was when we played Simon says, I'd say i'm pretty good at remembering and surprisingly, I won! My second favourite part was when we went to the winter garden, I liked playing with these types of leaves, when we pressed them they would close up.
Something I am wondering is how they moved the Waka, the dinosaur models and the Whare Nui and other big things into the Museum?
