Best ever friend recipe

 Hello bloggers!

Today I made a best ever friend recipe. If you don't have a best friend you can do this with one of your good friends to turn them into your best ever friend!

This task is a part of my home learning tasks. Before writing my class did a brainstorm and write down all best friend material so we could use them for our writing. Follow the instructions carefully and try not to make too many mistakes, good luck!

10 things you can do when you are bored in lockdown!

 Kia ora bloggers!

Since lockdown is back our teacher gave us a task of making a DLO about 10 things we can do when we are bored in lockdown to keep everyone entertained.

I agreed that lockdown will be boring so I made a DLO about 10 things we can do when we are bored during lockdown to help myself and also others.

I hope this helps!

Our First Taekwondo Lesson

Hello bloggers!

Today me and my class had out first Taekwondo lesson.

Something new I learnt was that we use Taekwondo for a game, saving ourselves or saving others.

Something I enjoyed during our lesson was the relay that we did at the start of the lesson, even though I fell down it was funny and nice.

Something I found challenging was punching multiple times while we were jumping it was hard and used lots of my energy but it was a good way of doing a sport.

I can't wait for our next lesson which is next week I had so much fun!

Beeswax Wraps

Hello bloggers!

Last week me and my class made beeswax wraps, we made them so we can reduce the amount of plastic in our lunchboxes. Beeswax wraps are reusable so instead of using sandwich bags which are plastic and not really reusable we can put our sandwich in our beeswax wraps.

Recently Tuffery Class has been learning about how much plastic the world uses, how to reduce plastic waste and also about plastic in the ocean. We learnt that so many marine animals die each year because of the plastic in the ocean so we decided we should try to reduce our plastic waste and then we made beeswax wraps.

To make beeswax wraps we need 100% cotton (fabric), pinking shear (zig zag scissors), beeswax pellets, baking paper, a towel an an iron.  First pick a fabric of your choice, cut the fabric into a square with a pinking shear 30cm by 30cm then sprinkle a 1-2 handfuls of beeswax pellets and spread them out evenly. After that put a layer of baking paper on the top and bottom of the fabric so your iron doesn't get damaged then iron the beeswax slowly and gently so it melts on the fabric. When you can't see the beeswax pellets anymore and it has all melted peel of the baking paper gently then take the beeswax wrap of the baking paper and let it dry.

Here is a picture of me making a beeswax wrap:

How and why we should reduce our plastic waste

Hey there bloggers!

This week my reading group Hufflepuff read about plastic waste and we also watched some videos about it. After doing that we were told to make a info graphic to encourage people to reduce their plastic waste. I hope this encourages you!

Here is mine:
